2025 Officer Election

In place of our regular 9:45 AM worship service on July 13, a congregational meeting will be held to vote on the nominees for Elder and Deacon (Class of 2025–2028). You can read more about the nominees below. Asterisks indicate previous service in the role at NSF. Click below to learn more about the officer election process in the PCA.

Elder Nominees

Randy Ausdran, Elder Candidate*

Randy and his wife, Holly, have been attending NSF for 20 years. They have two children, Randall and Megan, and four grandchildren. Randy has previously served as elder and small group leader along with attending and leading a men's small group. He am currently works part-time as a consultant with a landscape company.

Matt Crawford, Elder Candidate

Matt and his wife, Brittany, have been members of NSF for nearly nine years. They have two sons, Ezra and Luca. Matt currently serves as the church treasurer and is a member of the finance committee; he has also previously served as a deacon. Outside of North Shore, he works as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. He and Brittany enjoy spending time with friends and love traveling and exploring new places with their children.

Jon DeVries, Elder Candidate

Jon DeVries and his wife, Chelsea, have been members of NSF for over nine years and deeply value the community and strong biblical teaching. They have four children, currently ages 3 to 9. Jon served as a deacon from 2021 to 2024 and has been a member of the finance committee since 2023. He works as a commercial lender for a local community bank and enjoys supporting businesses and families with their financing needs. Jon and Chelsea have found regular participation in Sunday School and a fellowship group to be an essential part of their church life and highly recommend it to others.

Chuck Grant, Elder Candidate

Chuck is a Chattanooga native and has been married to his wife, Denise, for 47 years. They have eight adult children and have been members of North Shore Fellowship for 16 years. Chuck has served as a deacon for six of those years. He has been a successful local businessman for over 25 years. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and playing golf.

Ryan Sandidge, Elder Candidate

Ryan has been married to his wife, Beky, for 11 years, and they have three children: Vada (7), Everett (5), and Sylvia (2). He has been attending North Shore Fellowship for 20 years, having moved to Chattanooga from Dacula, Georgia, to attend Covenant College. During his time at Covenant, he served in the NSF youth ministry as both a volunteer and summer intern. He has also served two terms as a deacon at North Shore Fellowship, from 2018 to 2020 and from 2021 to 2023. Ryan currently works as a Technical Program Manager for a software and electronics development firm.

Deacon Nominees

Dan Basler, Deacon Candidate*

Dan Basler and his wife, Carlene, have been attending NSF since 2004. He has previously served two terms as a deacon. Dan works as a physical education teacher and volleyball coach at Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts.

Adam Herberich, Deacon Candidate

Adam Herberich has been a member of North Shore Fellowship for nearly six years and has been active in his small group during that time. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have two sons and are expecting their third child. Adam works as an underwriter in the insurance industry at New York Life.

Jacob Matthews, Deacon Candidate

Jacob and his wife, Sarah Beth, have been attending NSF since they were married in 2017. They have two children, Moses and Hank. Jacob has served as a high school youth group leader and currently volunteers in the nursery. He works as a branch administrator at APHIX Landscaping.

Parker Smith, Deacon Candidate

Parker Smith has attended North Shore Fellowship for the past 15 years. He currently serves as a volunteer with the middle school youth group, and his wife, Alaina, is involved in the worship ministry. Parker works as a Senior Quality Compliance Specialist at Unum and has called Chattanooga home since graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2011.

Matt Van Stelle, Deacon Candidate*

Matt moved to Chattanooga in 2016 to begin a job with friends he met while attending Covenant College. He began attending North Shore Fellowship shortly after his move and met his wife, Caroline, at the church just a few Sundays later. They have one son, Anderson, who will be 2 in August. Matt served as a deacon at North Shore Fellowship from 2017 to 2020. He currently works remotely for Paragon, a company that develops software for the wooden truss industry.
