What ages are children in the nursery?

The nursery cares for children ages 3 and under. (Children who turned 4 prior to 8/15/2021 will be in the PreK class.)

What should my child bring to the nursery room?

Please bring a diaper, a change of clothes, and anything else your child might need while in the nursery (such as a pacifier or blanket).

What will my child do while in the nursery?

Children 18 months and older will have a Bible lesson and snack as well as free time to play with the other children and adults in the room. Children in the younger rooms will explore and play with age-appropriate toys.

What will my child eat?

Water and goldfish are served as snacks to children 18 months and older. We also have Cheerios and Rice Chex available for children with allergies.

What is the illness policy for the nursery?

If anyone in your household has experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 24 hours, please do not put your child in the NSF nursery.

  • Fever of 99.6 or higher
  • Cough
  • Cold
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  • Rash
  • Lice

How do I check my child into the nursery?

A nursery coordinator will greet you in the nursery wing and help you complete a safety sticker for your child. Parents must keep their portion of the numbered safety sticker to present to the nursery volunteer or paid worker when picking up their child.

Who will take care of my child?

Fully screened nursery volunteers and paid workers will care for your child. Thoroughly trained nursery coordinators will supervise all nursery rooms.

What other areas are provided for moms and babies?

There is a designated nursing room to the left of the sanctuary for nursing moms and babies. There is a changing table in the single restroom located in the hallway immediately before the women’s restroom.
