Gathering for Worship, Schedule, Updates, and Ways to Stay Connected

As it begins to cool off, you may be wondering what the colder weather means for our outdoor worship services. We plan to continue to offer outdoor worship as long as we are able. In order to get the slightly warmer part of the morning, we are going to flip the schedule to indoor worship first, then outdoor worship. We will also allow a little more time to transition between services.

New Worship Service Schedule Starting October 25:

8:15 AM Indoors (or via livestream) | 9:30 AM Outdoors | 10:45 AM Outdoors

We are so thankful that the outdoor worship services have been helpful to you all over the past months, and we appreciate your flexibility in our rain plan last week! This Sunday, you will notice some yellow lines drawn in arches in the parking lot. These are to serve as a helpful guide to you and your family. Please place your chair behind a yellow line, and this will help everyone maintain appropriate distance between each household.

Worship this Sunday will be at 8:15, 9:15, 10:30 a.m. or via Livestream (same as previous weeks). This Sunday, we will have another congregational meeting in each service to elect officers. If you are a member, you must attend in person to vote, so be sure to RSVP for a service.

Additionally, in the past couple of weeks, we have slowly implemented some events for youth ministry, men’s discipleship, and women’s ministry. For each of these events, all of the same health and safety practices apply (masks required inside the building, temperature checks for staff, no food served inside the building). We will continue to evaluate and update these practices in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate all the new changes together.

Worship times and health and safety practices will remain the same this week (8:15, 9:15, 10:30 a.m.). Livestream will be available at 10:30 a.m.

Our times for worship are the same as last week (8:15, 9:15, and 10:30 a.m.). We will host a congregational meeting this week with each service, and we invite all members that attend in person to cast votes. In the meeting we will vote on Releasing Robby as Senior Pastor of NSF, vote on Elder and Deacon candidates, discuss the pulpit committee nomination process, and hear the 2020-2021 budget. More detailed information about this meeting will come to you via email on Thursday, July 9. If you don’t get our emails, you can text NSFELLOWSHIP to 22828 to sign up.

After gathering last Sunday, it was clear that we needed to adjust some of what we are offering to better care for you. We noticed that many of you found the outdoor service to best fit your circumstances, and we are now offering TWO outdoor services. To allow a little time to transition, the second service will now be at 9:15. We also noticed that there is still a need for an indoor service without congregational singing, but that a different time of day may help. Therefore, the indoor service without congregational singing is moving all the way up to 10:30 a.m.

We are still practicing social distancing at every service, so there is a limited capacity for each. Please RSVP for the service(s) you plan to attend.

It was great to see your faces again last Sunday! We appreciate you all for following our new health and safety practices. As a reminder, the link to RSVP for a Sunday service will be available every Wednesday for the upcoming Sunday. Since this was our first week of a public re-gathering, we are evaluating if there are any changes that need to be made before the upcoming Sunday. We will post all announcements and updates here, and send them in our weekly e-mail. If you don’t get our emails and you want to, you can text NSFELLOWSHIP to 22828 to sign up.

Worship with us this Sunday, June 28 at 8:15, 9:00, 11:00, or 5:00 at NSF or at home.

RSVP as a household. If you have been in a “bubble” with other households, and you want to sit together you can RSVP as a group on our form. Just check with the other household to make sure you don’t RSVP twice. If you see the message “form entry limit reached” that means the service has reached capacity. RSVP links will be available every Wednesday at noon for the upcoming Sunday.

Next Sunday, June 28, we will offer worship gatherings at 118 Woodland Avenue. Here is what you need to know before then:

We have a limited capacity for all services, and ask that you RSVP for the one you plan to attend. The link to RSVP will be available on Wednesday, June 24. Please RSVP for everyone in your household that plans to attend on the same form. Each Wednesday, a link to RSVP for the following Sunday will be available here.

On June 28th there will be 4 services: 8:15 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 5:00 pm.

8:15 will be an outdoor service, with singing. Communion will be offered at the outdoor service only. No masks are required for the outdoor service.

9:00 & 11:00 will be indoor services with singing, and 5:00 will be an indoor service without singing. Masks are required at all times inside our building by those ages 3 and up. Communion will not be offered inside the building for the time being.

As we continue to learn more about COVID-19 and the situation changes in our community these plans will adapt accordingly.

We will continue to update this page with new information. Please check back on Wednesday each week for the latest guidelines.

If you weren’t able to see it earlier, here is our livestream from 9:00 a.m. June 21.

We are going LIVE on our YouTube channel this Sunday, June 21 at 9:00 am as we move toward gathering together again soon. Starting next week, June 28 we will offer the opportunity to gather at 118 Woodland in a limited capacity at either 9:00 am, 11:00 am, or 5:00 pm. We will ask that you RSVP online for the service you plan to attend. The link to RSVP and more details will be posted on our website next Wednesday, June 24.
We recognize that these plans are not perfect, and we are trusting in the One who is as we consider how to gather together again. Please pray with us and for us to form plans that allow us to all love one another well.

This Sunday (June 14) will be the last pre-recorded worship service. Starting June 21, join us at 9:00 a.m. for a live stream of the service.

We plan to gather for worship in a limited capacity starting June 28. The service will look a little different than what we are used to, but we are so excited to see some of your faces again! We also fully understand that many of us will need to continue to worship by joining online, and we encourage you to do so. The live stream of our service will be available for the foreseeable future, and all videos will be recorded if you can’t make it at 9:00.

More info is coming soon on how / where to RSVP, and what the services will look like.

If you missed the live chat with our pastors, you can watch the recording of that here to hear them answer your questions.

Thank you for your questions!

Watch the recording to hear more about our plans to gather for worship at 118 Woodland Ave. on June 28, where we are in the pastoral search process, and more.

More information on gathering for worship will be provided in the coming days.

We will continue to worship via our YouTube channel this Sunday, June 7. As Hamilton County has seen an increase in cases recently, we do not have enough information to confidently set a date to gather at 118 Woodland Ave just yet. The session will meet again next week to plan our next steps. Thank you for continuing to have patience with us as we decipher all the information. We feel the weight of these decisions and continue to make safely re-gathering a priority. Please join us for our live discussion with the pastors on June 10 at 1:00 p.m. on our YouTube channel.

MAY 31

We will continue to worship via our YouTube channel this Sunday, May 31. Our session is carefully planning when to gather again in consultation with doctors, health care professionals, and our staff. We will update you with more information in a YouTube live town hall meeting on Wednesday, June 10. As always, continue to pray that we will love one another well as we experience these tough times together.

MAY 22

We will continue to worship online via our YouTube channel this Sunday, May 24. We are actively and carefully planning when & how we can return to worship at 118 Woodland Ave. Please continue to pray for us as we consider all the options.

MAY 15

Please join us for worship on our YouTube channel this Sunday.

Worship, May 10 – we will continue to gather virtually with worship online only. Hear more about that from Chris Powell by watching this video.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns as we navigate this as the church body. We will evaluate the situation each week, and update you with any new information or schedule changes.
In keeping with the CDC’s most recent recommendations to limit group gatherings to 10 people or less, the Elders and Pastors of NSF have decided that our body will worship online only for the next 8 weeks. That means that we will not open our building to the public for worship services or events in that time period. Instead, please join us in worship on our new YouTube channel, starting at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday. This is a difficult time for many of us and new for all of us. So, I hope you will make a daily habit of joining us in prayer and in thanksgiving. This is a unique opportunity for the love of Jesus to shine in and through us. Let’s be thankful that we personally know King Jesus and let us pray that we might make him known more and more during this challenging season through our attitudes, our words, and our actions.
In Him,
Chris, Jason, John, Robby & The Elders
